Communicating with College
At Saints Peter and Paul we are committed to being a welcoming and friendly college, and we take communication with our parents and carers very seriously.
If you need to contact the college about your son/daughter the relevant Key Stage Pastoral Officer is your first point of contact. The Pastoral Officer’s role is to take details of any messages, concerns or queries you may have regarding your child. They will deal with this and contact the relevant member of staff and every effort will be made to respond to the this as soon as possible.
Telephone the college on the usual number 0151 424 2139 and select:
option 2 for Year 7, 8 and 9 - Mrs Downey
option 3 for Years 10 and 11 - Mrs Nolan
and option 4 for Years 12 and 13 (Sixth Form) - Mrs Stanley
There is also the facility to leave a message and your call will be dealt with efficiently.
Reporting a students absence
Like all good schools, we expect our students to be in college every day. If absence is unavoidable, please contact the college on the first day of the absence and chose the Attendance Officer’s extension. Mrs Ferris will be able to advise you on the best next steps to take.
For sixth form absences please contact the college and choose the Sixth Form extension 236.
IT IS VITAL THAT YOU KEEP US INFORMED IF YOUR CONTACT DETAILS CHANGE
Reporting a staff absence
Staff should call 0151 422 6504 before 7.45 am on the morning of an absence.
Mrs Ferris, our Attendance Officer, keeps a close eye on our attendance to ensure that it remains as high as possible. She will be able to give you expert advice on the absences that we authorise. We would ask all our parents and carers to respect the fact that in striving for the highest achievement for all our students, we only authorise absences in cases where students are extremely unwell.
What our parents say:
“I’d like to thank Mrs Aspey for her support and for sorting out all my enquiries
over the past two years”
“Problems are sorted out really quickly and you always get lots of updates on queries that you have made.”
