PENSIONERS' PARTY

Each Christmas, we host a special Christmas party for pensioners in our local area.

Our students serve them a Christmas dinner and host entertainment during their meal, which is enjoyed by many.

Our school choir and musicians also visit local residential and nursing homes every year, entertaining the older generation with their favourite Christmas carols.

DUKE OF EDINBURGH

Our Year 9 students have the opportunity to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh bronze award.

To complete the award, students must help the community or environment through volunteering, as well as becoming fitter and healthier by taking up a physical activity, developing new skills, and planning, training for and completing a camping and hiking expedition.

PRE-LOVED UNIFORM

With an increasing cost of living across the nation, we are mindful of the impact that purchasing new or replacement items of uniform can have on the financial wellbeing of families in our school community.

For families in need of items, we provide a bank of pre-loved uniform items to distribute free of charge as needed.

CHAPLAINCY LEADERS

Chaplaincy leaders promote the school ethos within the school community.

They become ambassadors and leaders in showing good examples and leading prayers, services and other events in the school, and take initiative in leading and guiding their peers and younger students, and greeting and directing visitors and guests during events around school.

FAITH IN ACTION

The Faith in Action Award is a programme coordinated by the Diocese.

It is an opportunity to reward young people in our school who follow the example of Jesus by serving the wider community and accepting greater responsibility for their faith in action.

In year 7, students work towards achieving their bronze award, by completing ten hours of support in the parish and ten hours support in school with events such as assemblies, charity work or leading liturgies.

Students also reflect on their work and how they are going to put their faith into action in the future.

CONFIRMATION

The Sacrament of Confirmation Partnership Programme is a sacramental provision offered at the school.

Through the confirmation partnership programme with deanery parishes,  we run a hybrid model of sacramental preparation in school and in the parishes.

Our school choir also provide support to each ceremony.

LAUDATO SI

With the invitation of Pope Francis' Laudato si', we use every possibility to spread awareness and care for our common home.

We are looking forward to seeing the growth of our school garden project over the next year.

Each year, we attend the East Cluster of the Liverpool Archdiocese at the Laudato si' COP 29 Student Climate Change Conference.

Representing two countries in the COP 28, our student ambassadors celebrate the identity of each country and learn about the situation they find themselves in in relation to climate change.
