OUR SCHOOL PRAYER
Father,
We thank you for bringing us safely to a new school day, which we share as one family.
May love grow strong within these walls
and open our hearts to let joy and friendship flourish.
Fill us with the courage of St Peter and the wisdom of St Paul, to help us to grow into the people you have called us to be, alive with your love.
Amen
collective worship & formation time
All year groups gather together for collective worship each week, led by various members of the school community and, on occasion, external speakers.
And based on our collective worship theme or world events, daily prayer takes place during formation time, led by the formation tutor and students.
A variety of accessible resources are provided to ensure that every student is enabled to experience prayer and liturgy, and explore what faith means to them.
LITURGIES
The highlight of our liturgical life as a school comes when we gather all together to mark the great feasts of Christmas and Easter.
Every year a huge number of students contribute to these creative and inspiring experiences of prayer, through music, drama, dance and the spoken word.
We also hold staff liturgies at key points across the school year.
STAFF PRAYER
Spirituality is an important element of positive wellbeing, and we support our staff to share their faith together too.
Every Friday morning, we dedicate a special time for staff prayer in our school Chapel ahead of the school day, providing staff with the opportunity to meet with each other over a hot drink and pastry and the chance for some quiet contemplation and reflection at the end of a busy week.
