CATHOLIC SCHOOLS & SALESIAN CHARISM
When a young person starts a Catholic school, they are joining a family that will care for them and challenge them to be the best they can be.

ABOUT THE SALESIAN CHARISM
We are a Salesian Fellowship Catholic school which means we embrace the Salesian charism and thread it through the ethos of our school.
The Salesian Charism is a set of guiding principles inspired by the life and work of St. John Bosco.
It emphasizes faith, joy, community, and holistic education.
Salesian schools aim to create well-rounded individuals who contribute positively to society.
OUR COMMUNITY MISSION
We are located within the St Wilfred’s parish of Widnes and have strong connections with our local parish priest Fr Peter.
Our team and our students also support the Sacramental Programme in partnership with all parishes in our school catchment area, each year providing students with the option to complete their Holy Communion and Confirmation.
The local clergy are regular visitors to the school and are involved in school life on a weekly basis.
CATHOLIC SOCIAL TEACHING
Complementing the Salesian Charism, the different elements of Catholic Social Teaching are embedded in all school activities including formation time, collective worship weekly themes, student leadership and stewardship, voluntary and fundraising work, the curriculum & co-curricular opportunities and times of celebration and recognition.
